IF THEY FORGET IT, IT DIDN'T WORK.
The only metric that matters is the one in someone’s head a week later.

THE WEEK-LATER TEST
Here’s the only review that counts: a week after someone visits your website, what do they remember? Not "it loaded quickly". Not "the colours were nice". Something. Anything.
If the answer is nothing, your website wasn’t a website. It was a pause between two tabs.
WALK DOWN A CLOSE
Glasgow tenements know this. From the street, a close is a doorway like any other. Step inside and it’s another story entirely — colour, pattern, tilework someone was proud of in 1902.
That’s a design decision still paying dividends a century later. Nobody photographed a grey stairwell for the Instagram.
People don’t remember websites. They remember moments. A headline that made them snort. A colour they’d never seen a solicitor use. A wee detail a friend would get shown. Design for the moment, not the page. The page is just the doorway.
“Memorable beats perfect. Every single day of the week.”
POLISH IS NOT PERSONALITY
You can spend a year making something flawless and forgettable, or a fortnight making something imperfect and unmissable. Guess which one gets shared in a group chat.
Get the basics right, obviously — fast, clear, works on your gran’s phone. Then spend everything you’ve got left on being worth remembering.
SO, WHAT DO YOU WANT THEM TO REMEMBER?
One sentence. Say it out loud. If your website doesn’t make it impossible to forget, it’s not finished — it’s just published.
We build websites and brand identities for people who’d rather be remembered. If that’s you, you know where the button is.
